Steve North was first licensed to practice in Tennessee in 1965. He graduated With a BA degree from David Lipscomb College in 1963 and Vanderbilt Law School in 1965. He was admitted to practice in Tennessee, US District Court MD Tennessee (1966) and Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals(1985).

In 1974 he was elected Judge of the Fifth Circuit Court of Davidson County Tennessee and served until 1982. He is presently the Senior Partner of The North Law Office in Madison, Tennessee. He has a broad background and experience in many areas of trial and Appellate practice including personal injury, medical malpractice, business litigation, consumer protection, fraud, employment discrimination, criminal defense, eminent domain and product liability. He also serves as a Mediator. He is peer rated AV by Martindale Hubble.

Steve North has taught Trial Advocacy as an Adjunct Professor at Vanderbilt Law School and The National Institute of Trial Advocacy programs at the University of Colorado(Boulder), University of Tennessee, Emory University and Hofstra.

Steve North is a Board Member of the Sports Authority of Metropolitan Nashville-Davidson County, Tennessee and is active in civic, political and church activities.
